Rango Safaris was born from a lifelong passion for Tanzania’s untamed wilderness and a desire to share its magic with the world. Founded by Tanzanian native and seasoned guide, the company grew from humble beginnings—organizing treks for friends—to a trusted name in bespoke African safaris. Our team comprises local guides, conservationists, and cultural ambassadors who have spent decades traversing Tanzania’s savannahs, mountains, and coastlines.

The team delivered a highly personalized itinerary which included a safari in Mikumi National Park, a walking tour of historic Stone Town in Zanzibar, and snorkeling in the Indian Ocean. The team even planned a birthday party, complete with cake, for me in the middle of our safari! Even though it was a relatively short visit, thanks to Rango Safaris I came away with a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of Tanzania and especially the generosity of its people. Not only did Rango Safaris organize an unforgettable safari at Mikumi National Park, but the team coordinated our whole trip from the first days in Dar es Salaam to the last in Zanzibar. Guided by Mike’s local knowledge, our personalized itinerary immersed us in Kariakoo’s bustling labyrinth of market stalls and the Indian Ocean’s stunning turquoise waters and colorful aquatic life.
